Daisy Asamoah
Dancer
Daisy’s passion for dance began at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson secondary school, which allowed her to take Dance as a subject for her GCSE’s this allowed Daisy to formalise and further her training. In 2001 Daisy attended City and Islington College to advance her skills within dance by studying a BTEC First in Performing Arts .This allowed Daisy to grow, develop and in 2004 she was able to qualify and complete the BTEC National Diploma in Dance. As Daisy’s love for dance grew so did the accompaniment of the whole performing arts genre, which blossomed while training for two years at the Weekend Arts College (WAC). While specializing in dance and drama, Daisy’s growing knowledge in music and performance also expanded and widened her foundations. Leaving WAC in 2006 with a Foundation Degree, this gave Daisy the academic push into fully developing her degree into a BA in Dance Studies at Roehampton University.
Throughout Daisy’s development in the study of dance and performance she has had the opportunity of working with a vast amount of talent across all three art forms. This includes the likes of Sheron Wray - an empowering figure within the national and international Dance community, Felix Cross Artistic Director of Nitro, Che Walker acclaimed theatrical artists, Hakeem Onibudo creator of Impact Dance, Alesandra Seutin creator and Artistic Director of Vocab Dance Company, connectingvibes* dance company, artistically led by Rosie Lehan and Beverley Glean (Artistic Director of IRIE!
